Gerry Raised as an indifferent historian in the Monastery, Gerry was given a spiritual assignment as a young teenager that led him to a unique understanding of uncommon cultures.

Fun facts (Possible Spoilers!)

  • Gerry is very proud that he is able to understand 6 languages that he taught himself through his studies as a monk (Session 3)
  • Gerry really wanted to trick Mr. “Two Copper” because he tends to be conservative with his money
  • Does not know how to pronounce the word Yklwa and is afraid to ask
  • Due to Gerry speaking about 6 languages and stuff, he sometimes spends his free time translating books into more common languages so that people can learn stuff.

  • Gerry was very surprised when Bartholomaeus was so quick to accept Ghaaliya as his god of choice
  • After the event of last time, he has notice that he can freeze or get distracted in these stressful situations. He is trying to think if he is having trouble remembering details
  • On the same topic, though Gerry is scared of the dragon event upcoming, he is coping by putting aside his fears and turning that into excitement of finally using his draconic speak

  • Gerry has necromancy spell prepared but doesn’t want to use them for fear of the monastery judging him

  • Gerry is starting to feel increasingly worried with the passing time, he wants a way to escape if they can’t rely on Tradence Quepour
  • When Gerry was young, he would sometimes try and climb the tree that the monastery was made up of. He hid it because it was seen as disrespectful
  • Gerry has spent a lot of the night thinking about what he should’ve done to stop people from pulling cards
  • Gerry has essentially no memory of his parents, all of his childhood was spent at the monetary when he was dropped off (Session 33)

  • Gaius is so devoted to following Gerry that he believes that he was divinely chosen and sent there. Whatever God chose him is the god Gerry worships

  • Part of Gerry’s love of nature comes from being out there and seeing the freedom of movement of it all around him. Part of the fear of the dungeon is going into an enclosed space where he might not be able to find a way out
  • Very bad at board games, especially dragon chess. He does not enjoy it
  • Currently Gerry is very interesting in looking for books on alchemy. Especially after stabbing the leader of the dungeon with the special dagger
  • Gerry really likes chocolate. It’s been a while since he’s had some and he is really wanting chocolate or at least something
  • Although Gerry is currently doing well dealing with his magical daggers. In his past he was used to hand axes
  • As a previous worshipper of Sylvanus, he respects all kinds of nature, but finds giant mountains bursting out of nature the most beautiful
  • One of the reasons Gerry bought the fancy pocket watch is because he is always fidgeting with something in his pocket and he thinks the pocket watch will be fun to fidget with (Session 43)
  • After Gaius was summoned by the deck of many things, Gerry has had a lot of trouble being left alone from Gaius. As they have been together more Gaius has learned to respect his power and let him be alone more
  • He has a passing interest in astronomy, especially looking at starts and constellations while on the boat. Partially practical, partially for interest
  • Gerry has been sort of calming and destressing by writing more and more lately. Writing in his journal, thinking about what he will do once he gets back to the monastery, wanting to write more
